  1. I went through your blog and read your various articles about the birds in Nilgiris. It is mind boggling to note that there are 400 species of birds inhabited in five places in the Nilgiris! Also the photos of birds published along with your articles are eye catching. Well done Sundar anna.

  2. Many thanks, Ravi..The total number identified during the survey was 400, but there were many repeats in the different regions..So, the total number individually found is 150 species..You will recall the wonderful morning we had at Sultana when Birds woke us up with their Subrabatham!! We shall enjoy more when you visit us next!!!!! P S SUNDAR

  3. Respected and Dear Sundar,

Thank you for your updated entries especially relating to Birds. An excellent inventory of Birds found in the Longwood Shola of Kotagiri was prepared by a friend of mine and actually the same was published sometime ago. I will try and find out what has happened further into his forays and keep you posted.

    Regards and Best wishes
    Philip Mulley.
