  2. Sheetal Gupta wrote ::: It was a horrific event. Even we were in Chennai during that time. We were in hotel & were unaware of the things happening outside. Then someone from our family called us to inform about Tsunami disaster as they viewed the whole thing on TV. Our flight to Singapore was on 26th Dec 2004th night only from Chennai airport. Though, by the grace of GOD, we were not amongst the victims of Tsunami but whenever we recall that time, we feel - was that a narrow escape for us!

    1. True, Sheetal ( Sheetal Gupta) .. all persons I had interacted with while visiting the tsunami struck places in Chennai, Velankanni, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Japan tell me same story .. God saved them !!

  3. On Dec 26, 2004, Nilgiris Cultural Association presented a Folk Music Evening with Karisal Karunanidhi at Gokul Theatres, Manjoor, when the singer devoted extremely moving numbers to Sea God .. this was blissfully unaware of the tsunami on sea fronts ..P S SUNDAR
